Students are required to do course registration for the forthcoming semester at the end of the running semester. The online course registration system via EASy will enable you to do course registration any where within the designated period.
For all new students (whether first year or UFP, the academic advisors will select the courses for your first semester on the basis of your former academic background and the placement assessment. Hence, you are not required to log in to EASy for course registration. You may add or drop a course after consulting your academic advisor.
EASy will only allow you to enrol a maximum of five courses per semester. If you plan to do six courses, you need to contact the academic advisor for approval to enter the sixth course. Click here for the list of subject offered.
During a prescribed period at the end of the running semester, students can access the "Course Enrolment" feature inside EASy. This allows students to select courses according to their programs. You can select up to 5 subjects subject to your academic standing.
You cannot drop any subject via EASy. Instead, you have to contact the academic advisor for approval and dropping.
If you wish to add any subject(s) after the elapse of the prescribed course registration period, you have to contact the academic advisor too.
Student must enroll the semester courses online within the stipulated deadline as published by the authority. Students who enrolled late will incur an administrative charge of TK 1000.
Students can only enroll courses according to their level of study. E.g. UFP students can only enroll for UFP subjects, Year 1 students can only enroll for Year 1 subjects, and so forth. Prior permission must be obtained from the academic advisors before a student can enroll in any higher-level courses. Any student who enrolls in higher-level courses without prior permission will be fined TK 200 per incidence. (E.g. If you make three mistakes, you incur a penalty of TK 600.)
Students can only enroll courses that are required by the program they have enrolled in. It is the student's responsibility to know the courses required by the program he/she has registered in. Course information is available in the College website or Outlook.
For a course that has prerequisite(s), you can only enroll in the course if you have met all the prerequisites. Such information is also available in the College website and Outlook.
Students are advised to take maximum number of courses (up to FIVE) for each semester, but subject to Point #9 below. Noted that NOT all the courses are offered every semester. Taking a reduced course load, failure in, or dropping of any course may result in a delay in the completion of the program. This is especially so when the courses are prerequisites for other subsequent courses. Therefore, the College will not be held responsible should the student need to wait for a specific course to be offered later.
You must re-take the subjects that you have failed previously and is being offered in the semester.
When offered, core courses of your program must be taken.
Any bridging courses that are required by you must be taken, whenever it is offered.
Students with a semester GPA or overall CGPA (whichever is applicable) of less than 56% (grade C- or below) may register for not more than 4 courses. Students who are under Probation will only be allowed to take a reduced load of maximum THREE courses or less (inclusive of the bridging course, if any).
The decision on the number of courses and the type of courses you will take for the semester rests with the academic advisor.
Courses that are being offered are subject to a minimum number of six students registered for each course.
The College reserves the right to add or drop any course that is being offered for the semester.
