Program StructureThe College is proud to introduce this prestigious Canadian engineering degree that is recognized worldwide. This credit transfer program enables you to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba by spending the first two years of your studies at home in Perdana College, Dhaka and UCSI (Malaysia). You then transfer over to The University of Manitoba, Canada for the final two years of your studies.
First year courses of the all these engineering programs are common, covering general applied science and basic engineering courses. From Year 2 onward, students of different pathways will study in different classes. You will study a number of common courses in Perdana College (in 2 - 3 semesters) before transferring to UCSI.
University of Manitoba engineering programs are highly ranked:
- Biosystems Engineering program at the University of Manitoba is rated as the number one program of its kind in Canada, and is 4th (out of 44) in North America
- Computer & Mechanical Engineering are both ranked 5th in Canada and 13th and 15th respectively among all North American Universities
- Electrical Engineering is ranked 8th in Canada and 21st among all North American Universities.

Choice of Partner Universities and ProgramStudents will transfer all their credits to the following university which we and UCSI have articulation with.
- University of Manitoba, Canada
- Students who elect to go direct to the University of Manitoba after completing a minimum of 8 first year subjects at Perdana College, and will enjoy full credit transfer into the relevant department of its Faculty of Engineering. Students will spend slightly over 3 years there to complete the engineering program.
- Under the transfer arrangement which UCSI has with the University of Manitoba, students will spend 4/5 semesters in UCSI before moving on to University of Manitoba to complete the engineering program in two more years.
- UCSI University, Malaysia
Engineering students who have completed the two years requirements specified above are qualified to enter UCSI's B.Eng. (Hons.) Electrical & Electronics and B.Eng. (Hons.) Communication & Electronics program. They can complete any of these programs in another three years.
Our Alumni: Aim HigherMonirul Islam Khan
Monirul studied his HSC in Comilla Cadet College and obtained an outstanding result. With his mind set to become a computer engineer, he enrolled in Perdana's Computer Engineering program -- he has the honour of being our 1st engineering student! This program is arranged with UCSI University (Malaysia) and the University of Manitoba (Canada). After studying for two semesters in Perdana, Monirul transferred to UCSI to complete the requirements for the first two years before he moved on to Canada.
During his two years in University of Manitoba, Monirul returned to Dhaka for his summer break, and served as our tutor. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and received his engineering ring in Spring 2004. He is currently completing his Master in Computer Engineering program in the same university.
