Strong mathematical foundation is instrumental in ensuring students progressing well in their studies, be it science, computer science, engineering, or business disciplines.
As part of the academic services, MSC aims to help students in building up strong mathematics foundations, particularly in the areas of algebra, calculus, and statistics (MATH 003, MATH 004, MATH 010, MATH 015/110, MATH 030, MATH 060) by providing extra helps through tutorials, one-to-one, or group discussions.
We strongly encourage you to make full use of this service.
In each semester, certain hours in a week are set aside as MSC workshops and/or tutorial hours. On the given time, TAs will be available for your service. The lecturer-in-charge is also available for assistance via the library. During the designated hours, you go to the librarian and ask him to contact the lecturer-in-charge. No prior appointment is required during these sessions.
You can drop in anytime during the workshop hours.
The instructor, supported by TAs, will meet you one-to-one or in a small group setting to provide assistance.
Drop-in visitors are welcome, but students are encouraged to make appointments via email before hand to ensure that you are given the priority.
If a few of you are facing the same problem, try to come together as a group.
