Candidates with other equivalent qualifications may be admitted into the Pre-University or diploma programs.
Credit may be granted to an enrolled student upon submission of the necessary application form and documentation in support of the application. It aims to recognize and support the legitimate interests of students in obtaining credit from previous education obtained elsewhere.
Principles of Advance Standing
A student must be enrolled in the course for which advanced standing is being sought and must submit all the necessary application form and supporting documentation.
The Examination Committee, in consultation with the VP for Academic Affairs or Department Heads, determines the amount of credit a student may receive in a course administered by the department.
In general, credit may not be given if the subjects studied are more than seven years old.
A student who is granted advanced standing will be advised in writing of the units to be completed for the relevant course.
At least half of the course requirements must be obtained through Perdana's subjects, particularly those of the later/higher level.
Candidates who have completed 24 or more transferable credit hours subsequent to graduation from high school with at least a 2.20 (on a 4.0 scale) cumulative grade point average (which must be more than 60%) may be granted admission as transfer students. Such student will be granted entry to the course with "advance standing". Students with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours must also meet the freshman admission requirements.
Only courses with a grade of at least C (60% and above) will be considered for credit transfer. In certain cases, only B grade or above can be accepted for credit transfer. The credits will be evaluated in consultation with the Admission Committee.
An applicant who wishes to transfer (at any level) from another college or university must arrange for a complete transcript of record to be sent directly to the Admission Office by each institution previously attended. Such transcripts will not be returned to the applicant and will not be kept by the college if the student is refused admission, or do not enrol in the college after being granted admission status.
Other supporting documents include:

Detailed documentary descriptions of the syllabi for the subjects.
Evidence that they have been tested at the appropriate level in the subjects concerned.
Evidence that the subject is of comparable weight with the Perdana subject.
Evidence as to the relevancy of the subjects to the program.
This is requested in the form of an English Language test such as IELTS or TOEFL, which will also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. The minimum requirement for all programmes is as follow:
IELTS Score
6.0
TOEFL Score
550 (written)/213 (computerized)
Students who do not meet this requirement may be admitted, but have to do remedial English courses.
Mathematics is required for all engineering, economics, computer science and business administration programs. Students should have at least GCE "O" level / GCSE level mathematics.
Students who do not meet this requirement have to complete the necessary mathematics bridging courses such as Intermediate Mathematics, Algebra & Trigonometry or Business Mathematics.
The College reserves the right to administer an admission test to the applicants whenever it deems appropriate. The admission test will assess applicants' IQ, English and mathematics aptitudes. Applicants may be granted an unconditional or conditional offer based upon the assessment.
In certain cases, applicants are also required to sit for physics or chemistry tests.
