In general, students will be assessed of their performance according to the grading scheme as outlined in the course outline. Two sample marking schemes are shown follow:

In general, to ensure that students know how to apply the knowledge they have acquired, the weightage of project and assignment components for higher level subjects increase.
The grading scheme follows the 4.00 grade point systems. Grade Points for each letter grade, percentage and literal descriptors are as follow:

The literal (alphanumeric) grade descriptors shall be used for reporting results on either the Academic Transcript or the end-of-semester Results Slip. The Academic Transcript shall include a legend to allow a conversion from a Perdana literal grade to the equivalent percentage descriptor.
The relationship between the subjective evaluation (literal descriptors) and the percentage scores is as follows:
90-100 Exceptional

Other Literal Descriptors
IP - Incomplete/Pending Completion
Indicating either
The course is currently under progress and final evaluation is yet to be completed, or
The student has been granted an extension of the deadline to permit completion of the term work.
WP - Withdrawal with Permission
Indicating the student has withdrawn from the course with the approval of the College. There is no academic penalty in this case. The following rationales permit for such a withdrawal:
The student has withdrawn the course within the scheduled Drop/Add deadline;
The student has to withdraw from the course due to circumstances that are beyond the student's control and which creates a situation that is impossible, or causes undue hardship, for the student to complete the course.
NP - Not applicable to the program
Indicating the student has done certain subjects that do not apply to the program the student is currently enrolled in. Subjects with NP will not be included in the calculation of GPA or CGPA.
