Program Structure

This 3-year (120 credits) B.A.(Hons.) in Accounting degree is franchised by our parent institution, UCSI University, Malaysia. Students can complete the program in our Dhaka Campus or transfer to UCSI University after 40 credits.

The program provides students with an accounting, finance, as well as a general business education, preparing them for a variety of careers. The unique yearly Co-Op internship arrangement gives students two months working experience for each year of their study, combining learning with real life applications.

The program has been accredited by ACCA, UK. Graduates of this program will receive Part I and Part II exemption (F1 - F9 papers) from ACCA. Student then can complete the professional modules of the ACCA program to become a certified chartered accountant. This is the only accounting degree program that comes with such full exemptions that is being offered in Bangladesh.

Graduates can complete the ACCA Professional Scheme (P1 onward) in UCSI University.

Furthermore, the program has been accredited by CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountants). Graduates of the program will be exempted the Foundation Level requirement of the CPA. Graduates only need to do six Professional Level modules plus the professional experience to qualify as a CPA.

In addition, graduates of this program also receive up to ICSA IQS1 exemption from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK. Students can then proceed to complete IQS2 to become a chartered secretary.

Program Outline

Credit Transfer for Accounting & Finance

Students may transfer their credits to our parent university in Malaysia after 30 credits.

Students have the option to enter Year 2 or Year 3 of the B.A.(Hons.) in Accounting degree program in UCSI.

Admissions Requirements

Students must meet the requisite English proficiency of either an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 213 (computer based) / 550 (written based) or English Foundation or equivalent, and one of the following qualifications.
