Program Goal & Benefits

Perdana College pioneers the Pre-University Matriculation Program (PUP) in Bangladesh. Since 1996, hundreds of our PUP students have graduated and moved on into numerous overseas universities.

The PUP is specifically designed to prepare students with SSC / ICSE / Grade 11 / GCE "O" Level qualification for entering directly into a university degree program. Such a program is commonplace among the Australian and Malaysian universities.

This program is also appropriate for those who do not have the appropriate academic background or experience to allow them direct entry into a particular university degree program.

Benefits
• Duration: Under normal load, the students can complete the program in as little as 3 semesters.
• Students can save tremendous time when compared to studying either GCE “A” level, HSC, or Indian ISC.
• Since the PUP is tailor-made for a particular degree program, it prepares the students to seamlessly transit into their chosen undergraduate programs.

The PUP is moderated by UCSI University, Malaysia.

Uniqueness of the Pre-University Program

• PUP qualifies students for direct entrance into a degree program.
• The faculty members hold a postgraduate degree.
• PUP also offers qualifying students the unique opportunity to pursue university courses while still completing requirements for regular university entrance.
• A number of the subjects that the students study are credit courses in many universities.
• The year-round school system allows students to enter and graduate from the PUP at different times.
• The academic year is designed to give university-bound students an experience of the pace demanded in studies at the undergraduate level while they are still under the closer supervision and guidance provided in a secondary school environment.
• Students will find that many of the traditional restraints of high school are lacking in the Perdana PUP. Staff and students relate freely in a mature and personal basis. An atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect offers students a maximum of personal freedom while maintaining the guidance required to encourage self-discipline.

There are two options:

1. UCSI Foundation Program: 11 subjects
2. Perdana PUP Matriculation: 9 subjects

University Recognition of PUP Qualification

The Pre-University Program is recognized by our partner universities as to have meet the entrance requirements of their degree programs. These universities include:

Other foreign universities that have accepted our PUP graduates, and with credit transfer include: University of Windsor, Monash College, Coventry University, University of Derby, University of Hertfordshire, Multimedia University, Perth Institute of Business and Technology, and numerous others. Our PUP graduates have also been admitted into a number of local universities.

Admissions Requirements

Students must meet the requisite English proficiency of either an IELTS score of 5.5 (with no band below 5.0) or a TOEFL score of 197 (computer based) / 530 (written based) or equivalent, and one of the following qualifications.
