General Introduction

As an English-medium College, all the academic activities are conducted in English alone. Students are expected to be competent in both spoken and written English before commencing a course. Otherwise students will be unable to fully grasp and follow the course. Hence, students will be asked for proof of their English ability.

Recognised Qualifications

This is requested in the form of an English Language test such as IELTS or TOEFL, which will also help you identify your strengths and weaknesses. The minimum requirement for all programs is:

Applicants who have not obtained this requisite score may be admitted but have to do remedial English courses before commencing their programs.

How to improve English

The College offers three levels of intensive English courses,each lasting a semester.

• Level I: Pre-Intermediate/Intermediate English
• Level II: Intermediate/Upper Intermediate English
• Level III: Academic English

The English Department also offers IELTS Preparation Course for students who plan to go overseas.

The English Support Center of the College provides additional English assistance to the students. During the specified hours weekly, students can approach the English lecturer in matter related to Academic Writing, Spoken English etc.
