Students are allowed to borrow up to two (2) books at a time for a duration of 7 days (including weekends, college holidays, hartals, etc).
A penalty of 5 Taka per day per book will be levied on overdue book.
Renewal of a book loan is allowed only if there is no reservation by another library user.
Reservation of books can be made with the Librarian.
Books from the Red-Spot (marked with a Red-Dot) and Reference (marked with REF) sections (Not be taken out):
Students are allowed to borrow one (1) Red-Spot book at a time for a maximum time of two (2) hours.
A penalty of 3 Taka per 10 minutes will be levied on all overdue books.
Renewal of a book is allowed only if there is no reservation by another student.
Reservation of books can be made with the Librarian up to one day in advance.
Only one (1) reservation at a time is allowed per student.
Periodicals, journals, magazines, and newspapers: Students can only read these in the Library. These are non-circulating items.
Faculty and Adjunct staff
Adjunct faculty are permitted to borrow up to five (5) books at a time from the Open Shelf and Red-Spot sections.
Adjunct faculty can borrow the book for up to one (1) semester, subject to recall by the Library.
Adjunct faculty who wish to borrow reference, journals, magazines etc. must obtain prior approval from the Director of Library.
Book procurement: contact the Director of Library (via the Academic Office) if you need certain books which are related to your course but is not available in the library.
Perdana Alumni
Registered alumni are allowed to make use of the library facilities.
Alumni is permitted to borrow up to two (2) books from the Open Shelf for for up to 2 weeks (14 days).
A penalty of 5 Taka per day per book will be levied on overdue book.
Renewal of a book loan is allowed only if there is no reservation by another library user.
Reservation of books can be made with the Librarian.
