On April 28, 2009, the Principal and Registrar of Perdana College had a cordial meeting with the Honorable Minister of Education, Bangladesh, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, M.P. and the Joint-Secretary of University Section, Mr. Md. Golam Rabbani, to brief them on the challenge of transforming Bangladesh into a regional hub for education excellence, and on the issue of cross border higher education (CBHE).

The Honorable Minister briefed the status in formulating a new National Education Policy and expressed the need for coming out with a new regulation for CBHE in line with the Private University Ordinance 2008. He said that the Ministry of Education is working on the CBHE regulation in consultation with various stakeholders and hopefully it will come out soon.

Meanwhile, the Honorable Minister also indicated, just as Perdana College has been operating in Bangladesh for so many years, it will continue to do so. Meanwhile, he has also instructed the Joint-Secretary Mr Golam Rabbani to look into the related issue with the University Grant Commission.
