The Honorable Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, M.P., the Minister of Education, Government of Bangladesh, launched the UCSI University Alumni Association Bangladesh Chapter during a dinner hosted by the President of UCSI University Dato Peter Ng in La-Vita Banquet Hall, Lakeshore Hotel, Gulshan, Dhaka.
The Honorable Minister lauded the contribution of UCSI University to the Bangladeshi students. He believed these UCSI alumni would be a formidable global work force through their excellent internships and education standard. The government of Bangladesh are working to upgrade the higher education sector to compete with the world, contributing toward Digital Bangladesh.
The newly appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, Mr. Jamaluddin Sabeh also spoke during the launching ceremony. He highlighted the immense needs of technical experts, researchers, and digital content providers in fulfilling the vision of Digital Bangladesh. He emphasized the presence of Perdana College and UCSI University for over a decade in Bangladesh demonstrated their commitment to the development of the country.
The dinner was graced by Dr. Lachman Tarachand, the Group Executive Officer of UCSI Group; Mr. Salahuddin Kasem Khan, President of Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BMCCI); diplomats from Malaysian High Commission; Board of Directors of BMCCI; and numerous employers of the alumni.
