Seminar on Higher Studies & Career Development
On Jan 19, Perdana College, in association with Juba Red Crescent Club of Notre Dame College, organized a seminar on "Higher Studies & Career Development" to the Notre Dame Students. This seminar aims to inform the students of the different pathways available to them after they complete their HSC. A few hundreds of eager Class 11 / 12 students attended the seminar.
The keynote speaker was Mr. Feroz Eftakhar, a faculty member of Perdana College and an alumnus of Notre Dame College. It was a warm home-coming for Feroz as he returned to his alma mater after 15 years, and met his former Principal and fellow Notre Damians.
The event was opened by the Principal of Notre Dame, Fr. Benjamin Costa, who opined that students should consider pursuing their higher education in Asian countries rather than always looking to the west, due to differences in values and culture. Dr. Wong KH, the Principal of Perdana College, Mr. Gustaf Simandjuntak, the Head of Business Development of Perdana College, and Mr. Ronjit, advisor of Juba Red Crescent Club, were present.
In junction with Perdana's 15th Anniversary, and in recognition of the many Notre Dame alumni who were also alumni of Perdana College, the College offered three scholarships to the students of Notre Dame College to pursue Accounting, BBA, and Mobile Computing degrees in Perdana College.
