Based on our extensive interactions with our students and prospective students, there emerge a number of issues that high school students need to be aware of well before they apply to a university. This page intends to provide information on such issues which we hope will be helpful to the advisors of Schools and Colleges in their counseling.

Students should be encouraged to have a good grasp of the language as early as possible. The minimum English requirement for entering an overseas university is:

High School Qualification
Australia
HSC qualification: first division. Those with second division can only be enrolled into a diploma program.
ISC qualification: first division.
GCE qualification: 3 "A"level + 3 "O" level with an average of grade D
GCE qualification: 2 "A"level + 3 "O" level with an average of grade D. Some programs require the students to pass the three "A" level subjects in one sitting.
Students with only SSC / ICSE / GCE "O" level / Year 11 education may be admitted into the university after completing a year of matriculation program, e.g. Perdana's Pre-University Program. Matriculation programs are tailor-designed to prepare students for entering a specific degree program. This implies these students will be better prepared for that program when compared to those students with a general High School qualification.
Enter Oversea University Directly Students can choose to enter the universities directly. This means students get to study in a university environment with large campus setting from the very beginning, spending from three to fours years overseas.
On the other hand, with the tuition fee rising continuously, and the local currency regularly being devalued, this becomes a very costly option. Another disadvantage is that students face a greater adjustment because they will be simultaneously experiencing a new culture and transiting into a university education system.
Study Partial Degree Program in Bangladesh Students can also opt to study part of the degree programs locally before transferring their credits to overseas universities.
In Perdana College, students can earn up to 60 credit hours (equivalent to two academic years) before leaving for our partner universities.
Advantages for this option include,
substantial saving of the tuition fees and living expenses. Depending on the university and program, the overall saving ranges from 40 to 60%.
completing 60 credits in as little as 16-20 months as the College runs on three semesters per year.
guaranteed transfer of their credits to numerous prestigious overseas universities which we have arrangement with.
adjusted to the university education system while still in Bangladesh so that the students only need to adjust to the new culture overseas.
