The staff may book class rooms or conference room for extra classes or class discussions at least one day before the intended use so that the venue can by set up for you.
Do switch off the lightings, air conditionings etc. before leaving the room.
Class Rescheduling and Room Booking
If the staff need to re-schedule a class for an urgent reason, contact the Academic Office at least two days in advance so that the office can have sufficient time to notify the affected students. The Academic Office will arrange the replacement class in consultation with the staff.
Re-scheduling of classes should be minimised as they are disruptive to students' progress.
Booking Audiovisual Equipment
Overhead projectors are available in almost all class rooms and teaching laboratories.
Staff wishing to book AV equipment (such as DVD player, audio system, and multimedia projector) for use should contact the AV staff at least one day before the intended use.
If the staff intend to use certain AV equipment in every scheduled class, he/she should inform the AV staff in the beginning of the semester. The staff will make sure that the required equipment is always made available during each class.
AV staff will normally deliver and set up equipment in the room. Once you have finished using the AV equipment, contact the AV staff immediately for clearly up.
Reporting Problems on AV Equipment
Once a problem with any AV equipment is detected, the staff should report the situation as soon as possible to the AV staff for remedial measures.
While the AV staff routinely check for lighting, air conditioning, and furnishings problems, academic staff discovering such problems should report them directly to the AV staff also.
In a similar vein, academic staff who discover fault(s) in computer or IT peripherals should report them directly to the AV staff.
